Paris was born 17 February 1981 and is the great granddaughter of hotel magnate Conrad Hilton. She is the niece of actresses Kim Richards and Kyle Richards. The heiress, socialite, and model lives with her sister Nicky Hilton in a 1920's mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

There has been ongoing speculation that Paris Hilton might be gay or bisexual. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Paris said that she did not receive much enjoyment from having sex with men.
